to take your A2 training with Getbike
Our dedicated team of instructors is passionate about helping you to progress to full licence holders, especially those that are currently restricted by CBT or are under 21years of age. Our A2 courses build upon the experience gained from our DAS instructors and help you make that step up effortlessly to medium powered motorcycles (up to 33bhp or 25 Kw) on our quality 125cc training machines. The standard licence restriction is lifted after 2 years.
The National Pass Rate for the Motorcycle Practical Test is currently 64% (92% of our customers pass first time!)
With the best instructors and the best facilities, getbike strives to get the best from you, not just a test pass, but through encouragement and experience we train our customers to be the best.
Beware of cheaper A2 / DAS courses! We’ve received complaints from a number of our CBT customers who have taken cheaper courses elsewhere and suffered poor standards of training and equipment. In some cases, they have had to start again and pay for a second course to pass their test. Please don’t gamble with your motorcycle training and only book with a reputable school!
Due to the ever increasing expectations of the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) Examiners, and customer requests for ‘out of working hours’ training, we have devised the following training schedules that meet all the various criteria.”
The A2 course is designed specifically for under 21 year olds but also for any rider who doesn’t wish to progress to “full powered motorcycles” in a hurry, but may wish to take passengers or travel on motorways. Training is conducted on the 125cc bikes that are used for the practical test. This can be an automatic or a manual clutch and geared machine.
If you choose to take the test on an automatic machine then your licence will only entitle you to ride automatics after you pass your test. Course lengths are determined by the individual’s level of skill and competence – novice riders will naturally require more training than experienced riders!
The number of days spent on training is advised by our instructors after a free assessment of your riding skill. They are also happy to discuss your needs as a rider and offer the best training package to meet those needs.
We can train you from complete novice through to riding unlimited bikes, or begin at any point in between. Your first step is to undergo a one day CBT course. From there, we will arrange for you to sit the Written Theory Test, which you must have before your Practical Test. We have the Written Theory Test on computer in our classroom and students may practice as much as they wish prior to the actual test. After an agreed number of days training we will accompany you to a nominated test centre, where you will carry out the Practical Test.
