to take your DAS or A2 training with Getbike
Our school has rapidly gained a reputation for excellence in motorcycle training, with pass rates that are far above the industry average. We employ a team of highly qualified Instructors that specialise in getting YOU through your training from start to finish. Whether you are looking for a CBT, A1, A2 or DAS course – we can help!
The National Pass Rate for the Motorcycle Practical Test is currently 64% (92% of our customers pass first time!)
We are very proud of our pass rate and are determined to maintain this high level of success. The reason for our high success rate is our approach to bike riding. We aim for the highest possible standard, rather than the minimum required to pass a bike test. Your safety and enjoyment of motorcycling is dependent on a solid foundation of good training; that is why we provide excellent facilities, and professional Instructors who are among the best in their field.
Beware of cheaper A1, A2 and DAS courses! We’ve received complaints from a number of our CBT customers who have taken cheaper courses elsewhere and suffered poor standards of training and equipment or , where fees, test days and even instructor availability are not included. In some cases, they have had to start again and pay for a second course to pass their test. Please don’t gamble with your motorcycle training and only book with a reputable school!
Due to the ever increasing expectations of the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) Examiners, and customer requests for ‘out of working hours’ training, we have devised the following training schedules that meet all the various criteria.
The Direct Access Scheme (DAS) is designed for riders over 24 years old, (or aged 21-23 and have held an A2 medium bike licence for 2 years) who wish to ride bikes of unlimited size and power. Training maybe initially conducted on 125cc or Restricted 500cc bikes, and progresses to 600cc bikes that are used for the practical test. Course lengths are determined by the individual’s level of skill and competence – novice riders will naturally require more training than experienced riders! The number of days spent on training is advised by our instructors after a free assessment of your riding skill. They are also happy to discuss your needs as a rider and offer the best training package to meet those needs.
What is A2 Medium bike test training?
The A2 course is designed specifically for people aged 19 or over but also for any rider who doesn’t wish to progress to riding “full powered, unrestricted motorcycles” , but may wish to take passengers, have no L plates on their bike and/or travel on motorways. Training is conducted on the restricted 500cc bikes that are used for the practical test. Currently we only offer these courses on a manual clutch and geared machine.

They are also happy to discuss your needs as a rider and offer the best training package to meet those needs. Remember you will only ever be able to ride a bike up to 35kw (46.6 bhp). Once you have held this licence for 2 years you are then eligible to take the DAS test to ride unrestricted machines.
We can train you from complete novice through to riding unlimited bikes, or begin at any point in between.

N.B. Extra days may be added to the standard courses above where needed; the assessment is conducted by experienced instructors, both too little and too much training are counter-productive.
We offer all students looking to take their DAS, A1 or A2 Training with us a free on-site assessment. This allows us to predict how much training you will require to meet the required standard. Remember too little or too much training can be very counter-productive.
Should you want to take or retake a module 2 test having been trained previously outside of Getbike we can offer a 2 hour on road assessment for £79 to guide you effectively to your module 2.
