If you have passed your Theory Test and interested in training for your Direct Access (DAS), A1 or A2 Standard licenses with Getbike we would like to invite you along to a module 1, on-site assessment.

There is a small charge of £20 for the assessment which is fully refundable against any of our courses.

Why the need for an assessment?

Everyone needs to end up at the same place which is pass standard. Unfortunately,  everyone does not start with the same skills and experience. So, we have to establish the starting point.

The assessment is designed to allow one of our senior instructors to get a snapshot of your riding abilities and experience, from this information they will be able to create a training package designed to your individual needs.

What bike will I be riding for my assessment?

Assessments are completed on either a Honda CG 125cc geared bike or a 125cc automatic (dependent upon the type of bike you intend to pass your test on) or a 500cc bike for those with more experience.

What bike will I be riding for my test?

The bike you are riding on test will depend on the license you would like to obtain.

We have detailed the different bikes based on the different licence types below.

Direct Access (DAS)

  • Yamaha XJ6

A1 & A2  (Manual)

  • Honda CG125 (A1)
  • Restricted Honda CB500 (A2)

A1  (Automatic)

  • Honda SH 125

How long will the assessment last?

As the assessment is only designed to provide our instructor with an idea of your riding ability, it should only last 30 minutes – 1 hour.

Module 2 Assessments

If you have passed your module 1 test with another training school, and would like a assessment for your module 2 training & test we are more than able to offer this; however, this will require an extended assessment so there would be a small charge. For more information on this service, please discuss this with a member of our team.
